History

Evgeny Alexandrovich Ukshe headed the laboratory almost 30 years

1964   Initiated by Academician A.N. Frumkin, a scientific group named ‘Electrochemistry of molten salts’ was created at the Institute of Electrochemistry AS USSR.

1967   The group was transformed into the Laboratory of molten salts electrochemistry at the Institute of New Chemical Problems AS USSR (Chernogolovka).

1970   The name of the Laboratory was changed to ‘Laboratory of solid state electrochemistry INCP AS USSR’.

1985   The name of the Laboratory was changed to ‘Laboratory of electrochemistry of sensor structures INCP AS USSR’

1988   Due to the reorganization of INCP RAS the Lab became part of the Department of Functional Inorganic Materials, Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics RAS.

2003   The laboratory was renamed Laboratory of Solid State ionics IPCP RAS.

2008   The laboratory became Complex of laboratories of solid state ionics, which consists of:

- Laboratory of solid state ionics (head is Prof. Dobrovolsky Yu.A.)
- Group of electrochemistry of interfacial processes (team leader Ph.D. Lyskov N.V.)
- Group of electrochemistry of solid state systems (team Leader Ph.D. Levchenko A.V.)
